homogenous temperature inside components.
Use of brush seals for aircraft engines
-Maximal gap (≤ 0.003 mm) for best protection against fluid (≤ 10 bar) and aggressive particles (carbon fibers or ceramic materials)
-Protection even if purge air fails or if air is very humid
-Electrostatic discharging of the shaft if drive currents are not perfectly symmetric
